LDOS

LDOS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of cast iron cooking called Dutch Ovens. Cooking in a Dutch Oven is an art, utilized by our ancestors for hundreds of years. We are chartered to preserve this form of cooking through Dutch Oven Gatherings, known as a DOG, and demonstrations.

Our Motto:
Good folks gathering for great food and great fun!

President's Corner

Welcome to the Louisiana Dutch Oven Society (LDOS) website. I would like to welcome our newest Chapter to the family, Claiborne Pots, which meet the last Saturday of the month at Lake Claiborne State Park.  Even though its been a hot summer, folks are out cooking and having fun. We are looking forward to assisting with the National Dutch Oven Gathering in October.  Great things are happening with Dutch oven cooking in the state, we look forward to having more chapters join us as we spread the art of Dutch oven cooking.   If you are interested in having a DOG, please let us know. You can contact us by using the Contact Us link on the top of the website. May your pots always be hot and black.
